I spent some time at our local market night. The goal was to play with some settings on my camera and to find a level of comfortability with quick, candid shots. There were a lot of blurry images. But, magically, the inaccurate focus, at times, told a story all its own.As creative business owners, it's easy to get distracted from our purpose. Money, being the main distraction.
Too often creative entrepreneurs believe that by giving their audience a free, all access pass to their gifts it will build credibility and trust with their fans. In today's vlog, I share three ways you can increase your audience's level of commitment and generosity using intimacy to communicate your value.
In business, you have about 30 seconds to make an amazing first impression. It's sad, scary even, that 30 seconds is all we've got! With the kick off of another round of the VGE, I thought I'd share a couple of before and afters, including my own, of those who've landed during their time in the VGE.
Last night the VGE sold out, and this morning we embarked on a new adventure! Today, I wanted to share a few thoughts on non-icky sales practices that not only work, but align with your unique rhythms and personalized touch. Here are three ways I have chosen to approach selling to my audience that are a tad bit unorthodox, but work for me:
Intrigue is one of the most important aspects of a good marketing plan, yet most creatives over look it. One of the biggest mistakes creative entrepreneurs make is to NEED money more than building trust and credibility with their audience. In today's vlog, I share three ways you can use Intrigue to close more sales.
Society is conditioned to avoid new, unheard of, and innovative products and/or services. They don't like change, and are happy to, at the risk of having no solutions at all, keep with what is familiar and comfortable. So, how do you, as a creative, revolutionary, innovative business owner warm your audience up to the idea of buying from you?
For eons, templates have been the go-to resource and tool for "savvy", hominoid business owners. I'm sure you've heard the masculine perspective on templates once or twice at least, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!" But, the problem is, there are lots of broken people and things in our modern age that are being labeled "good enough" or bandaged with the mediocre diagnosis of "ain't broke", that you would think "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!" would have lost its sweet and lazy savor. But, it hasn't.
Your success, in large part, is a result of savvy communication between you and your audience. But, not necessarily in a traditional sense.Conventional marketing methodology teaches you to communicate with your audience for the express purpose of discovering what they need and want, so that you can give them what they need and want. Seems reasonable, and if you are establishing a traditional business, for the most part, that works.
I received an email from a client yesterday describing the visit we had earlier in the day. The first line read, "WOW! that was better than sex, lol!" I laughed out loud when I read those words because I know exactly how they (Ya, you know who you are!) feel, and for a moment, I basked in the happiness of knowing that one more unique and extraordinary being was closer to living their truth and changing the world with their gifts.
Symbols, are an incredible way to help you understand something difficult, in a creative way. Creative people tend to struggle implementing traditional business methods because they are pioneers! Most like to go off the beaten path and experiment, innovate and change the way the world thinks and does. It's a part of their nature to not follow the rules and to trail blaze into uncharted territories.
My goal for 2017, is Visibility Goddess in 2017! I was gifted that title by several different clients last year after working with them on features in Mogul Muse, and it got me to thinking, I’d really like to live up to it fully this year!
One of the ways that I am choosing to step into being a total Visibility Goddess is through greater leadership. I believe that your visibility is directly related to our leadership and consistency. So, this year, my focus is on being transparent about how I run my business with those who are interested in going on this Visibility Goddess journey with me.
