I spent some time at our local market night. The goal was to play with some settings on my camera and to find a level of comfortability with quick, candid shots. There were a lot of blurry images. But, magically, the inaccurate focus, at times, told a story all its own.As creative business owners, it's easy to get distracted from our purpose. Money, being the main distraction.

A PROVOCATIVE FIX FOR AN AGE OLD MARKETING PROBLEM

For eons, templates have been the go-to resource and tool for "savvy", hominoid business owners. I'm sure you've heard the masculine perspective on templates once or twice at least, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!" But, the problem is, there are lots of broken people and things in our modern age that are being labeled "good enough" or bandaged with the mediocre diagnosis of "ain't broke", that you would think "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!" would have lost its sweet and lazy savor. But, it hasn't.

HOW TO EASILY CONVERT YOUR AUDIENCE INTO PAYING CUSTOMERS

Your success, in large part, is a result of savvy communication between you and your audience. But, not necessarily in a traditional sense.Conventional marketing methodology teaches you to communicate with your audience for the express purpose of discovering what they need and want, so that you can give them what they need and want. Seems reasonable, and if you are establishing a traditional business, for the most part, that works.

I received an email from a client yesterday describing the visit we had earlier in the day. The first line read, "WOW! that was better than sex, lol!" I laughed out loud when I read those words because I know exactly how they (Ya, you know who you are!) feel, and for a moment, I basked in the happiness of knowing that one more unique and extraordinary being was closer to living their truth and changing the world with their gifts.

Why do we wait? Why do we get paralyzed in the moment and wait to share our leadership and gifts until everything is “perfect”? I think it is because we aren’t practiced in offering ourselves up as role models and examples. Instead, we have some twisted view of what an expert is “supposed” to look like, sound like and act like, when in reality, our audience and followers are not looking for another disingenuous expert, they want to follow a leader—someone who knows where they are going and who isn’t afraid to share the mistakes they’ve made and successes they’ve had along the way.
